Award for Best Poster by Early-Career Researchers at the One H Congress for Bastien BERRAND

The second edition of the International Congress on One Health (One H Congress), organised by ANSES, INNOZH and Labocéa, took place from 3 to 5 June 2026 in Saint-Quay-Portrieux, Brittany.
On this occasion, Bastien BERRAND, a first-year PhD student in the MRCA team, presented his first scientific poster entitled “From C. botulinum spores to outbreaks: A review of potential hydro-ecological mechanisms leading to avian botulism outbreaks in wild birds”. 

This work, carried out in collaboration with Caroline Le Maréchal (ANSES), Céline Richomme (ANSES), Guillaume Reboul (ANSES), Damien Banas (L2A) and Ariane Payne (OFB), was awarded the prize for the best Young Researchers’ poster by Carnot AgriFood Transition, following selection by the conference’s scientific committee.
This is a fine accolade for this first presentation linked to the CHABOTE 2 project, which examines the hydro-ecological conditions that may lead to outbreaks of avian botulism in standing water systems.
