News of the OPTICED FEAMPA project, "Optimization of freshwater shrimp farming"

The OPTICED project steering committee hold a meeting on December 10th in the premises of ONIRIS-INRAE in Nantes. It was an opportunity to review the project progress and the first summary of the works held in 2024 and 2025. Our DAC team who was in charge of the optimization of husbandry practices, has analysed an important set of data on growth, performance and survival rates of the shrimps (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) in conditions of polyculture tests (schrimps and fish) in semi extensive farming systems in the Gers region (Gascogne Aquaculture), in Mayenne (LMAA from Haut Anjou) and Ain (pisciculture des Cyprins).
