Congratulations to Emmanouil!

On December 18, 2025, Emmanouil Diakos successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled « Evolution of aquaculture potential during fish domestication: a multi-trait evaluation of breeding programs and sex-specific responses in a model species (Danio rerio) as an asset for aquaculture diversification », carried out under the supervision of Pascal Fontaine and Thomas Lecocq.

The examination committee, composed of Elena Mente (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), Marie-Laure Bégout (Ifremer), Valérie Cornet (UNamur), Carole Leguille (University of Lorraine), Md. Shahjahan (Bangladesh Agricultural University), and Marc Vandeputte (INRAE), awarded him the degree of Doctor of the University of Lorraine.
