Emma Meloni joined the MRCA team on 3 January as a research engineer on the CHABOTÉ project (Hydro-ecological Conditions for the Appearance of Botulism and Occurrence of Toxins in Ponds). The aim of the project is to identify the conditions conducive to the development of botulism in ponds.

Emma already has considerable experience of botulism, which she studied as part of her M2 in collaboration with the OFB. To carry out her assignment, Emma will be based at the OFB's premises in Orléans and will work at various French sites (ponds in the Grand-Est and Nouvelle Aquitaine regions) exposed to this pathogen and toxin.
