Committee of the experimental implementation of the INSSICCA Decision Support Tool

The third Steering Committee of the experimental implementation of the INSSICCA Decision Support Tool (DST) was held by video conference on Tuesday 4 October.

 It brought together the project partners (DAAF of Guadeloupe and Martinique; GDSM and SANIGWA; Institut Pasteur de Guadeloupe; URAFPA), the sponsor (Direction Générale de l'Alimentation for the Ministry of Agriculture) and external members (Prefectures of Guadeloupe and Martinique as well as the Ministry of Overseas France).

The results of the action are very positive, as the AOD allowed 100% of the slaughtered animals to be decontaminated to within the compliance threshold (value established by the health authorities allowing the carcass to be considered healthy) and even for 60% of them to within the chlordecone quantification limit. A feedback questionnaire administered to the 38 participating farmers shows general satisfaction and suggests a bright future for this ADO, whose application methods were discussed at the end of the meeting.
