Thomas Lecocq is an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) in Animal Biology and Ecology at the University of Lorraine, a position he has held since 2015. He holds a PhD in Science and a Habilitation to Direct Research (HDR) in Agronomic Sciences. His research explores the domestication of fish species and the development of polyculture systems to foster more sustainable and diversified aquaculture adapted to local contexts. To this end, he combines approaches from functional ecology, species niche modeling, phenomics, and integrative biology, while also designing databases and methodologies that support the implementation of planned biodiversity in aquaculture systems.
