Joëlle Couturier left URAFPA to enjoy a much needed retirement. Within the FST campus, Joêlle belonged to different laboratories and finished her career in DAC team. All the best Joêlle.

The European Project H2020 "Aquaexcel 3.0" starts in 2021 ; it will last 5 years and gathers 13 European countries and 22 partners. The project aims at developping European aquaculture by strengthening research collaborations between countries and technology transfer towards fish farm companies.

The awarding panel for the 2020 thesis prize of the french association for animal production has ranked first the application form of Lola Toomey upon her thesis entitled "Unlocking the wild potential: integration of geographic differentiation in domestication processes to facilitate fish aquaculture diversification" (thesis advisors P. Fontaine and T. Lecocq). Lola is invited to present her work at the next EAAP congress which will occur in Davos in 2021.

On February 17, 2021, Sylvain Slaby, François Le Cor and Vincent Dufour held a seminar for MSc students (Biodiversity, Ecology and Evolution, Fourth year students) from the University of Lille. Invited by Dr. Matthieu Marin (MCF, Director of studies for the Bachelor's Degree in Organisms and Populations Biology), they introduced challenges and main results of their research about the dynamics of agricultural contaminants in ponds. This presentation, integrated into the ecotoxicology module, received a very positive feedback from students, pleased to have discussed with young researchers (postdoctoral researchers and PhD student) on recent and concrete results related to their courses.
